As a Lead Researcher Intern, you’ll play a critical role behind the scenes, enabling SDRs to have better conversations and book more qualified meetings.

Job Description

The Lead Researcher Intern supports the Sales Development team by identifying, researching, and delivering high-quality prospect leads for outbound calling and outreach.

This role is ideal for someone who:

  • Enjoys research and attention to detail
  • Wants exposure to B2B sales and go-to-market teams
  • Is comfortable working independently in a remote environment
  • Is eager to learn how outbound sales works in practice

You’ll work closely with SDRs and research leads to ensure prospect lists are accurate, relevant, and aligned to client Ideal Customer Profiles (ICPs).




What You’ll Be Doing

As a Lead Researcher Intern, your responsibilities will include:

  • Researching companies and decision-makers that match defined ICPs
  • Identifying relevant job titles and buyer personas (e.g. IT, Operations, Data Centre roles)
  • Building and maintaining prospect lists for outbound calling
  • Verifying and enriching prospect information (company, role, location, industry, etc.)
  • Ensuring data quality, accuracy, and consistency
  • Supporting SDRs with timely, well-structured lead lists
  • Learning how research directly impacts outbound sales performance

Education & Background

Currently studying or recently graduated with a diploma/degree in any discipline.

Additionally

  • Must be proficient in Excel and Introduction to Technology
  • Someone exploring a career in business, research, or operations
  • Looking for hands-on work experience in a remote role
  • No prior sales, marketing, or IT experience is required. Full training will be provided.


Internship

If you meet the required level during in the subsequent interview you may be offered a three-month internship with xSELLerate as an Intern. xSELLerate will provide you with computer equipment once you start a customer campaign. You need access to fibre.

Place and time of employment

xSELLerate has a work from your home model, so should you be employed, you will need to have access to fibre. Your office hours will typically be from 8:30 am to 17:00.
